These pictures are so cool! You must have a really nice camera. Mine has a little delay from when I push the button to when the pic is taken so that would be a problem taking some of a storm. It looks like the lightning is hitting your neighbors house, it made me laugh because it's probably just the angle and they're probably not people you want to be struck dead.
On our camera we are able to leave the shutter open so this allows us to capture photos like this. Ya and we do like the neighbors..ha. Most of this was actually a ways beyond those homes.
